ManageSoft Business Importer Delivers
Most Connected SAM Solution

New Importer Ties ManageSoft ECM to Financial, HR, and Contract Systems

BOSTON, MA, December 15, 2009, ManageSoft—the leading provider of desktop to datacenter software asset management (SAM) solutions—announced today that its new ManageSoft Business Importer (MBI) software has been released. The MBI connects ManageSoft's Enterprise Compliance Manager® (ECM) SAM product to a multitude of third party systems to allow data collection from purchase orders, cost centers, business units, vendors, human resources, licenses, and contracts. ECM utilizes this information to automate software license management and reduce IT spend on software licenses and maintenance by up to 30% per year.

The MBI is delivered with a set of standard, predefined Data Domain Interfaces (DDIs) that allow data to be easily imported from disparate external systems to a common ECM import format. ECM is the first SAM product that reconciles purchase order data with Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) numbers, inventory data, and product use rights to generate an accurate license position. This enables organizations to optimize their license consumption and reduce costs associated with software audits, year-end license true-ups, maintenance renewals, and more.

"An effective software asset management solution does not stand alone," said Vincent Brasseur, director of product marketing at ManageSoft. "Our Business Importer enables critical business systems to feed ECM with the information required to optimize current software investments and reduce future spend."
