ITAM Services Consultant

Position Overview

Design and implementation of ManageSoft IT Asset Management solutions in the areas of Software Deployment, Patch Management, Inventory and Software Asset Management.

Essential Job Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years experience in a consulting role ideally in a desktop management or IT Asset Management environment or possibly in the IT department of a large organization.
  
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  
• Project Management.
  
• MCSE qualification highly desired.
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills
  
• A positive attitude and strong desire to make the customer succeed.
  
• Experience with the following technologies:
  
• Understand network architecture
  
• Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows Vista
  
• Active Directory (esp. Kerberos and security)
  
• Group policy management
  
• IIS v 6, v7 including various types of authentications
  
• Virtualized environments e.g. VMWare
  
• Any software management system e.g. SMS
  
• Microsoft SQL-Server 2005/2008 (SQL queries and DB management)
  
• Preferred skills
  
• Scripting (VBScript and JScript)
  
• Unix or any *nix or Mac
  
• Experience with Oracle databases
  
• Experience with XML
  
• Security patch management

Non-essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with other departments to improve customer satisfaction
  
• Define policy and procedures geared towards managing services division continued growth
  
• Prepare department specific documentation

Other Skills/Abilities

• This is a travel position with the majority of services being delivered at a customer location.
• Required to carry a cellular device and be on call outside of normal business hours.
