Software License Content Manager

Job description:

You will be responsible for finding, recording, and organizing software license entitlement rules and associated documentation for each software title from known publishers to expand and maintain ManageSoft's software license library.

Job summary:

Research, analyze and decode license contracts, EULAs, publisher documentation, or any relevant information to build a library of product use rights. Establish policies and procedures to govern the creation and maintenance of records in the library. Analyze licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts to pinpoint key licenses rules and metrics from an audit perspective for implementation in our product. Monitor and evaluate trends in software licensing practices from publishers. Identify opportunities for cost saving and license optimization for our customers based on licensing rules. Synchronize the content of the library with our application recognition and stock keeping unit (SKU) libraries. Coordinate the publication of the library with our engineering team based in Melbourne, Australia.

Experience requirements:

Applicants will have one or more of the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years in software auditing/reviews preferably with one or more large publishers, such as,
    Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, or IBM
  • Skilled knowledge in asset management principles: licensing models, metrics, and rules.
  • Knowledge of software publishers, agreements, and titles

Additional background that is a plus:

  • Software Asset Management (SAM) certification or completion of a training program within the past 3 years
  • Basic understanding of intellectual property law
  • Broad knowledge of hardware and software platforms
  • Previous employment as KPMG, Deloitte, Adobe, Oracle or similar in a audit capacity
